EBSCO Databases - New User Interface
EBSCO, one of our most popular academic database suppliers, has launched a new user interface for its EBSCOhost platform, designed to make your research journey smoother, faster and more intuitive. Whether you're conducting a quick search or building a complex query, the updated platform offers a range of enhancements to help you find and manage information more effectively.

BrowZine
Introducing BrowZine, a powerful electronic journals service designed to transform how students and staff discover, read, and stay current with the latest scholarly journals. BrowZine sits alongside the Library’s Electronic Journals site and offers an alternative way to browse and discover e-journals.

New Databases & E-Resources
The following e-resources are new to the Library:
VetMed
CABI’s VetMed resource is the most comprehensive database of veterinary science research available covering all aspects of veterinary medicine and animal health.
BSAVA Library
The BSAVA Library pulls together the British Small Animal Veterinary Association’s huge range of world-renowned veterinary content and makes it easily accessible online. The library’s collection includes BSAVA manuals, guides, formulary, CPD webinars, lecture recordings, Companion magazine and more.
Social Policy and Practice
Social Policy and Practice represents an important source of evidence-based social science research. Coverage is extensive and the database comprises 320k+ bibliographic records, with a significant number citing important grey literature sources (semi-published reports, surveys & statistics).
CKBK
The ckbk service offers access to more than 1,000 digital cookbooks, providing reliable culinary content spanning diverse cultures and historical periods from the world's most respected cookbook authors and publishers [more details].
Early English Books Online
Early English Books Online has changed supplier and is now available via ProQuest. This resource features page images of almost every work printed in the British Isles and North America, as well as works in English printed elsewhere from 1470-1700.
Eighteenth Century Collections Online
Eighteenth Century Collections Online has changed supplier and is now available via Gale. This resource represents a vast eighteenth-century library at your desktop — a fully text-searchable corpus of books, pamphlets and broadsides in all subjects printed between 1701 and 1800.
Drama Online
Drama Online has been updated to include full-text collections up to, and including, 2025. Alongside the core collection, this includes Nick Hern Books, Critical Studies & Performance Practice.
