New E-Resource: ckbk

The Library now subscribes to ckbk, with unlimited access to a collection of 1000+ cookbooks.  The ckbk service is now available via the Library Databases page.

The ckbk service offers access to more than 1,000 digital cookbooks, providing reliable culinary content spanning diverse cultures and historical periods from the world's most respected cookbook authors and publishers.

ckbk is the ultimate digital subscription service for cooks. To build ckbk, first we brought together recommendations from hundreds of world-class chefs and food writers to create a ranking of the most essential cookbooks of all time.

Guided by this expert advice, we worked with publishers and authors to license the best classic and contemporary cookbooks from the UK, USA and beyond. Many of these books have never before been available in digital form. Unlike other sites, we don't offer just a sampling of the content - subscribers get unlimited access to the complete content of every book. ckbk offers a seamless and natural way to explore the best cookbook recipes, with instant searchability from any device and personal recommendations to guide you to the most relevant dishes. Library access includes use of the ckbk website and the ckbk iOS and Android apps.

Please note, individual registration is required for personalisation and off-campus access.  Please use the registration URL displayed on the Library Database page.  Anyone that availed of the Library's recent trial access to ckbk may need to delete their account (via ckbk's 'My membership' menu option) and re-register.
