In celebration of Ulster University Business School's 50th anniversary, join us for an inspiring evening with Professor Michael Brennan, Professor of Strategic Management at Ulster University Business School for his inaugural Professorial Lecture exploring Sustainable Development: Research Challenges and Impact.
Professor Brennan will discuss the intersection of environmental sustainability and transdisciplinary research, highlighting the importance of social and scientific co-design. He will also share insights from his work with engineers tackling critical global water challenges, including the transformative Safewater project, funded by the Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF).
This event is ideal for academics, researchers, policymakers, and anyone passionate about sustainability and innovative problem-solving.

Professor Michael Brennan
Michael Brennan is a Professor of Strategy and Sustainable Development at the Ulster Business School, Ulster University Belfast. He teaches creativity and innovation, and his research has a focus on sustainable development through transdisciplinary problem solving. He has been a research investigator on several UK Research Council projects under the Global Challenges Research Fund and is a panel chair in the UKRI Interdisciplinary Assessment College. Professor Brennan’s teaching and research is closely aligned with Ulster University’s strategic plan - People, Place and Partnership: Delivering Sustainable Futures for All.
