We are one of a number of teams within the University that has a key role to play in terms of providing Business Intelligence to the Departments and Faculties.
The collection of student numbers from our faculties and the creation of Current Year Actuals and a 5 year projected Plan.
Monitoring compliance with agreed intake numbers and reporting on progress towards achieving the University’s Academic Planning targets. This includes all MaSN, and non-MaSN/unregulated student numbers with a view to enhancing student fee income, as aligned to SP5&50.
Provision, on a regular basis, of a wide range of information in line with the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
Production of the Student, Aggregate Offshore and Institution Profile Returns.
Providing reports and data to other Departments within the University, such as Athena Swan, Widening Participation, and Equality.
Creation and maintenance of Programme Codes within our Student Records System.
The Student Load forms a key element of the University's statutory returns which determine the University's teaching block grant. It is also used internally to drive the allocation of block grant and fees in the University management accounts: and to advise and assist with the general planning and budget allocation processes.
