The Centre for Legal Technology was delighted to welcome three guest speakers from Citi as part of the LLM module, Legal Innovation in Commercial Work, led by Dr Adam Buick.

Catherine McAleavy, Ben Wilson and Ryan Cowan provided students with valuable insights into their roles within Citi’s in-house legal team. The session explored Citi’s approach to legal innovation and offered practical perspectives on the use of AI tools in commercial legal practice.

The visit was especially meaningful as Ryan Cowan is a graduate of the University’s LLM in Corporate Law, Computing and Innovation, now known as the LLM Legal Innovation and Technology Law. His return highlights the continued success of the programme and the strength of its alumni community, while offering current students inspiration and real-world insight into career pathways in legal innovation.
