Employability & Careers are hosting the UnLock Your Network in Creative Arts online event to help you connect with your industry, recent graduates and employers. Through this online event you will hear from and learn from key contacts in industry and during this challenging time you will be inspired to take positive action for your future.

Confirmed speakers include:

Laura Hagan

Laura works as the Student Recruitment Associate for the EY Belfast Office, coordinating and managing all vacancies and applications from both school leavers, undergrads and graduates. Laura graduated from University of Ulster in 2014 with a BA in Photography and has a background working in events and recruitment before joining the team at EY in Feb 2019.

Eavan King

Eavan King has worked in the Nerve Centre for 8 years. She manages a range of film production and film education programmes for stakeholders including Northern Ireland Screen, Into Film, Film Hub NI and produces the BFI Film Academy programme - delivering specialist film production training to young filmmakers aged 16-19 years of age. Eavan manages the Foyle Film Festival Light in Motion Awards in short film and animation which are Oscar and BAFTA accredited. She has worked as a Production Manager and Assistant Director on a range of short films, most recently with Raw Nerve productions on Endless, directed by Wille Doherty and starring Christopher Eccleston.

Chris Shannon

Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Manager Chris Shannon leads the Student Enterprise team at UU. Chris comes from a Marketing and Advertising background and has spent several years working with advertising agencies, start-ups and in house marketing teams focusing on customer acquisition, brand marketing and growth. Since launching the UUSU Enterprise Centre and Unique Art Shop in 2017, Chris has supported over 300 student business owners and alongside his team he delivers a suite of enterprise and entrepreneurship programmes and support services that engage over 2,000 UU students each year.

The interactive event will be 60-90 minutes long with the opportunity for informal Q&A
