Scheduled Maintenance
Essential infrastructure works will take place in Block BC, Belfast Campus, between 15–17 July.
While no disruption to core services is expected, there is a possibility that some networked AV systems in teaching and meeting rooms may require attention following the works.
Digital Services are monitoring out of hours and will remediate as required.
Blackboard will be unavailable for approximately 2 hours on the 12th July. The update will commence at 00:01 and is expected to complete by 02:00.
On Monday 20th July, Turnitin will switch to the latest version. Existing Turnitin assignments will continue to work, as they do now, but any new assignments will be created in the new Enhanced Turnitin Feedback Studio.
The Turnitin upgrade introduces new functionality including granting extensions to specific students and new audio and video feedback options. Support material is available to help orientate you to the changes in advance of the update.
The Banner student records system will be unavailable from Friday 26th June at 5pm and will be available again on the afternoon of Monday 29th June.
This period of downtime is to allow Digital Services to apply business critical patches and upgrades to support UCAS, UKVI, SLC and HESA processing.
Banner and all of the associated systems will be unavailable at this time. This includes Apply, Online Enrolment, Banner Self Service and Banner Faculty Grade Entry (marks collection).
Cognos will be available throughout.
