Future Skills Week

Future Skills Week, hosted by Ulster University is a programme of skills boosting activities for the University’s students and graduates delivered by a range of high-profile speakers and industry experts including: The Mind Tribe UK, Enterprise Causeway and the Big Motive.  These events will support students and graduates who are transitioning into the workplace at a time of transformational change across all sectors and job roles.

Are you an Ulster graduate looking for inspiration, advice and support?

Future Skills Week will offer something for all Ulster University students and graduates including access to information, advice and support for finding internship, placement and graduate opportunities.  With hundreds of opportunities already up for grabs on the University’s vacancy management system Handshake, Future Skills Week will help students and graduates to identify suitable roles, hone interview skills, and connect with professionals across a range of sectors.

Angela Scanlon, Director of Employability at Ulster gives an insight into what’s on offer: “Future Skills Week will provide an invaluable programme of support to students and graduates including: inspirational advice, digital skills boosters, job search support, career coaching, enterprise development and personal confidence”.

Camilla Long, Co-Founder of Bespoke Communications who will be offering students and graduates the opportunity to up skill on Professional Presentation Skills during Future Skills Week, emphasises the importance of not missing out: “competition for opportunities will remain high over the coming years and this programme of support will help significantly in preparing students and graduates to confidently engage and compete for careers they have already started to invest in”.
