Profile

Salahuddine Al Mugharbil is a Lebanese youth worker and researcher. Whilst securing a youth work post in a Lebanese school as a "Student Life Coordinator", he has completed his 'Master of Education Degree' in 2020. His Master's degree aimed at assessing the impact of extra-curricular activities on academic achievement among adolescents.

Salahuddine was awarded  a PhD research studentship with the  UNESCO Centre in the "Education in Conflict and Crisis" field. He moved to Belfast with his family in September 2021 to commence his PhD journey at Ulster University.

His study aims to investigate the impact of neoliberal resilience on the 'Education in Emergencies' educational interventions for Syrian refugee adolescents, exploring perceptions of their social and political future.
