The Access Ambassador Programme enables meaningful engagement between academic staff and community and voluntary partners across Northern Ireland. The programme supports fair access, progression, and success at Ulster University by fostering collaboration and shared expertise.
The Access Ambassador Programme, supported through widening access funding, plays a pivotal role in community outreach. It recognises the value of partnership and collaboration in delivering Ulster University’s People, Place and Partnership strategy.
The initiative encourages academic staff from across disciplines to share their knowledge and expertise with community groups, helping to address challenges and explore new ideas through outreach activities.
Projects are shaped by the needs of each community partner. With academic support, these outreach activities empower adult learners, raise ambition, and create innovative educational workshops. This work provides clear pathways to Ulster University programmes and promotes fair access, progression and success.
