Postgrad Journal - Intersections

Ulster University Postgraduate Journal for Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences is a journal for multidisciplinary exchange of new research and practice at Ulster University.

It is an annual meeting place for the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences to share reviews, processes and theories emerging from current practice-based, theoretical and historical research.

The journal aimed at postgraduate researchers and postdoctoral scholars affiliated with Ulster University.

Call for Peer Reviewers

Intersections: Ulster University Postgraduate Journal for Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences are currently seeking peer reviewers with an academic background affiliated with Ulster University.

The scope covers practice-based, theoretical and historical research ranging from Art & Design, Creative & Performing Arts, Media, Humanities and Social Sciences.

Peer reviewers will be responsible for independently reading, scoring and providing timely, well written comments via a blind peer review process.

To be considered as peer reviewer for the first issue of Intersections: Ulster University Postgraduate Journal, please send a CV (Maximum of 2 pages) and bio-graphical supporting statement (Maximum 250 words) to Paul Brown: p.brown@ulster.ac.uk before Friday, 26 October 2018.

Peer Reviewer requirements

Availability

Reviewers will be requested to participate in an orientation meeting on Friday 2nd  November, time for reading, scoring, developing comments.

Reviews will take place between 7 December 2018 - 1 February 2019.

Tools

Each reviewer must have access to the Internet, a computer, and have the ability to interact within the web environment.

Quality of review

Each reviewer must complete a detailed, objective, constructive, and timely, well written reviewer report for a shared numbers of assigned applications.

A reviewer report template will be made available for peer reviewers.


Call for Submissions

A call for Submissions for the first issue of Intersections will open on Friday 9th November 2018.  

The first issue will be published as an e-journal on our webpage.

It will also be available as a print copy, which will be launched in April 2019.

The launch will coincide with an art exhibition at Ulster University Gallery.
