Nationalist reframing of the welfare state: the nexus of nationalism and social policy in far-right populist parties

The second seminar in the ‘Pushing Boundaries’ series where staff members are invited to present their work to colleagues at the School, will be taking place on Friday 12th December at 12:30 in room 3A08. A sandwich lunch will be provided.

The seminar will be presented by Dr Markus Ketola (Social Policy, University of Ulster). Markus is a Lecturer in the School of Criminology, Politics and Social Policy at Ulster. His research is primarily on international comparative social policy and one of his current research interests is concerned with the social policy nationalism and welfare chauvinism advocated by European populist far-right parties.
