TJI is pleased to host this book launch for Robbie McVeigh and Bill Rolston's book 'Ireland, Colonialism and the Unfinished Revolution'. Join the authors and discussant Eilish Rooney for a conversation about the themes of the book and the contemporary relevance of colonialism. TJI Director Prof Siobhán Wills will chair the event.

Robbie McVeigh is a researcher based in Edinburgh. He has published extensively, with a focus on human rights and equality in the north of Ireland. His work includes theoretical and policy-oriented research, as well as primary research with minority ethnic groups, young people and community organisations. Much of his work has focused on racism and sectarianism in Ireland, North and South. He is currently researching issues around language rights and Irish Medium Education in the north.

Bill Rolston Is a former professor and director of the Transitional Justice Institute at Ulster University. Over his academic career he has researched and written on a wide range of subjects - from mass media representations of the Northern Ireland conflict to the sexual attitudes and behaviour of young people, from unemployment in West Belfast to political wall murals. In recent years his research has concentrated on issues to do with political transition and justice, especially truth commissions, victims and politically motivated ex-prisoners.

This is an in-person event and tickets are limited; participants are requested to wear masks.
