Carbon Emissions
Our Journey to Net Zero
At Ulster University, we have significantly reduced our Scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions, from 19,889 tCO₂e in 2005/06 to 7,754 tCO₂e in 2023/24, through energy efficiency measures and on-campus renewable energy generation.
Next, we’ve committed to achieving Net Zero by 2050. Our Sustainability Action Plan sets out clear targets to guide us in our journey to 2050 and embedding sustainability across all aspects of life at Ulster University.
