Ulster University’s PGCE Primary and Post-Primary programmes prepare graduates to become qualified teachers in schools across Northern Ireland.

Undergraduate degree requirements:

Primary PGCE: Any degree covering subjects taught in the primary curriculum.

Post-Primary PGCE: Degrees in English, Art & Design, Geography, History, Music, Technology & Design, Home Economics, or Physical Education.

Please note: Undergraduate degrees in related subjects are also considered, and degrees can be made up of up to 50% joint degree content in a related subject area. Master’s-level degrees in related subject areas may also be accepted.
