All New Nelson Place
On 05 August 2024 our NEW purpose-built Belfast Sports Centre at Nelson Place will be available for members. Throughout August we will be hosting come-and-try events to allow members to test the new facility. In September we will be fully operational. As part of our development, we have world-class facilities and our state-of-the-art technology with Technogym etc. will put you ahead of the rest.

Technogym Wellness Suite
You can make use of our brand new Technogym Wellness equipment within the Fitness Suite, including the latest range of Technogym weights both fixed and free.

What will be different in Nelson Place?
We have a new dedicated sports facility right in the heart of Belfast, beside the main campus.
It has a world-class gym with dedicated weights and cardio zones, a spin room and wellness rooms and our stunning rooftop with a large outdoor workout area for your circuits and yoga classes etc. along with an 80-metre running track.

What happens to the current Belfast spaces in Block BA and Block BC?
They will no longer be occupied by Sports Services and are now transferred to Estates Services from 15 July

Can I still use the showering and changing in BA?
The current arrangements are to keep the changing accessible for staff and students.
Nelson Place will have large changing facilities available!

How long will you close?
Our services will cease in the current Belfast campus on Sunday 14 July and we will open the new Belfast Sports Centre on 05 August as part of a soft launch before a full opening in September.

What happens to my membership?
Your membership will roll into Nelson Place naturally.
Throughout the closure, we encourage members to use our Jordanstown Sports Village facilities, Coleraine and Magee Sports Centre.
Remember we have 24/7 On-Demand access to Les Mills through the Ulster Sport App with hundreds of amazing classes to try.
