How to Work with Ulster University

You can choose to work with us through a direct, paid‑for consultancy arrangement or by accessing a range of external funding opportunities designed to support and accelerate your innovation activities.

General Consultancy

Access direct expert advice from Ulster University academics to benefit your business. Our knowledge and expertise can help with a variety of projects for your business including:

product and service development
testing and validation
design, strategic advice,
expert witness.

Innovation Vouchers

Designed to stimulate innovation, business growth, sustainability and competitiveness. You can apply for a voucher through InvestNI or Enterprise Ireland to access Ulster University knowledge and expertise to develop innovative solutions to business issues. Vouchers are worth £5k or €10k.

Innovation Boost

A cross-border knowledge exchange programme funded by IntertradeIreland. This programme boosts a three way partnership: University, Company and Graduate. Provides support by helping to fund a science, engineering or technology graduate and partnering you with Ulster University specific expertise.

Business Explorer

This cross-border pilot scheme is funded through IntertradeIreland and aims to provide early stage guidance and support by pairing your business with an academic specialist. Tackle business challenges and develop new ideas in science, engineering and technology. This can lead to further opportunities such as Innovation Boost.
