Powering Research Commercialisation
Our researchers are at the forefront of innovation, generating discoveries that serve as powerful sources of intellectual property (IP). By harnessing this wealth of expertise, businesses and industries can unlock new opportunities, and shape the future with pioneering solutions.
Licensing Technology
Companies of all sizes as well as individual entrepreneurs can access an extensive portfolio of technologies and early stage ideas and concepts that are available for licencing, or in some cases further collaborative development.
Our technologies progress through a structured stage-gate development process, offering flexible licensing options—from Easy Access (free) IP licenses to full royalty-bearing commercial agreements—tailored to industry needs.
What is Licensing?
A licence is a written legal contract in which an owner of intellectual property (the ‘licensor’), permits another organisation (a ‘licensee’) to use the IP on an agreed basis including the rights and responsibilities related to the development and use of the intellectual property.
Licensing agreements are common between universities and external organisations as a way to develop and make use of intellectual property.
