Library resources to support your learning and research

The Library has a wealth of resources available in our campus libraries and online to support your learning, assignments and research.

• Through our Library Catalogue, you can access a wide range of books, eBooks and print journals to support your learning, assignments and independent research.
• You can use USearch, the Library’s discovery service, to search across many of our databases and electronic resources, making it a useful starting point for finding relevant academic information.
• Through our Reading Lists you can find key resources selected for your modules and courses, helping you access the texts and materials you need for your studies.
• Using the Library’s Online Databases you will be able access a wealth of academic information, including journal articles, eBooks, research papers and other specialist resources.

Our collections provide access to a wide range of high-quality academic information resources you need to support your studies and research.

Library spaces to support your studies

Each Campus Library offers a range of spaces and facilities to suit different study needs, including:

• Open study areas with spaces for using your own device.
• Study spaces with fixed PCs
• Bookable study rooms for individual or group work
• Quiet and silent study zones, clearly identified
• Flexible learning areas with adaptable furniture and equipment for individuals or groups

All Campus Libraries also provide printing, scanning and photocopying facilities.

With 24/7 access, you can use our Library spaces and collections around the clock, whenever it suits your study schedule.

Library Staff are here to help

Our friendly Library staff and librarians are here to support you throughout your studies.

• Staff are available at the information desks at each campus during staffed service hours. They are happy to help with finding resources and using the library spaces.
• Librarians have created online subject guides and referencing guides to help you develop your academic skills.
• They also run training skills workshops through the academic year covering topics such as referencing, research, effective searching and Generative AI, supporting you throughout your learning and research.
