Library Access Over the Winter Break
Staffed enquiry services & access to books will be closed from 9pm on Tuesday 23rd December but campus libraries will continue to provide 24hr access to study spaces for students & staff during the Winter break except for December 25th, December 26th & January 1st.
Referencing Rescue: A Success
The fortnight of Referencing Rescue events, promotion activities & enhanced support materials was a huge success. Library support for referencing is available all year round and you can access it at any time.
Self-service Laptop Lending
Self-service laptop lending is available 24hrs a day at Belfast & Coleraine libraries. Laptops are available for 4hr loan periods to use anywhere on campus. Belfast library also offers a UV-C sanitising unit. Derry~Londonderry library continues to offer ‘over the counter’ laptop lending during opening hours.

Library Opening Hours
Christmas Closure & 24-Hour Spaces
All libraries will close at 9pm on Tuesday 23rd December 2025 and will reopen on Monday 5th January 2026 (normal staffed opening times).
24-hour spaces will be available throughout Christmas with the exception of December 25th, 26th and January 1st. Students & staff must have their card with them to gain access and we ask that users report to campus security desks before entering libraries.
