The team in the Office for Digital Learning promote, develop and support digital learning technologies for teaching and learning.

We work closely with academic colleagues, staff within other professional services departments and students, to inform, inspire and support the use of technology. Throughout the year we offer workshops, webinars, drop in sessions, one-to-one consultants and online materials to best support you and your learning technology needs.

The institutional technologies that we are responsible for include the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) which is currently Blackboard Learn; TurnItIn; video service, currently Panopto; Studiosity (an academic writing support service for students); online webinar software (currently Blackboard Collaborate), CampusPress blogging platform, Blackboard Ally (digital accessibility tool) and the Module Manager.

The Centre for Higher Education Research and Practice (CHERP) support Nearpod and Mentimeter digital polling systems.

Additional services we offer include: blended/online design workshops; digital capability workshops, creative online learning innovations and guidance/support through programme approval or revalidation.
