PURE Datasets Guide
Strengthening your Data Access (Availability) Statements
The Data Access Statement (DAS) is one of the most important sections for the future credence of a manuscript. It is where interested readers go to locate the data upon which your manuscript’s claims lie, whether to verify those claims or to utilise the data for further research.
The DAS is also the section most likely to suffer neglect or hastiness.
Review Strengthening your Data Access Statement for guidance on how to improve your DAS.
Training
PURE for Datasets Webinar
A webinar was delivered through MS Teams to give staff a step-by-step introduction for using PURE Datasets and to provide guidance on associated data-related issues.
PURE Datasets Training
The Research Performance Team hold regular drop-in sessions for staff on PURE and Open Access and can provide support on depositing datasets during these sessions. For dates and to register for a drop-in session go to the PURE Support webpage.
Data Management Planning (DMP) webinar
An introductory webinar was delivered through MS Teams to outline resources available to Ulster researchers to help with Data Management Planning. The webinar contextualised DMPs within FAIR data principles and gave practical guidelines on making research data FAIR. It also highlighted top tips for preparing a DMP.
Presentation: Introductory comments on Data Management Plans for all.
Opening your research data webinar
A webinar was delivered through MS Teams to address researcher concerns around open data and offer guidance for moving your open data journey forward.
