The Centre for Flexible Education provides personal and professional development courses across a range of subjects.

We work with individuals, business, industry, and third sector organisations to identify learning needs, provide training courses, develop bespoke programmes or accredit work place learning.

  • Adult Learning

Adult learners (25+) are some of our most well-equipped learners, bringing skills, attributes and knowledge gained from work, family and other life experiences.

They come from a wide range of backgrounds, study every kind of course, undertake full-time and part-time learning and are motivated by career intentions as well as personal interest. Over 3000 students aged 25 and older currently study with Ulster.

We recognise that returning to study as an adult student can present its own challenges and to support you in navigating the university and making informed decisions we have produced a guide to help you: Adult Learning Guide
