The awards were established to celebrate the outstanding success of individual students across a range of modules. Although a physical awards event is not possible this year, we will be celebrating the academic success of our students with this recorded virtual event.
Joining us to present the awards and recognise the high achievement of the department’s students are senior executives from some of Northern Ireland’s largest tourism, hospitality and food businesses.
Professor Una McMahon-Beattie, Head of the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management welcomes award winners:
“It is with a great sense of pride that I welcome our fantastic hospitality and tourism management students to our virtual awards ceremony. This is an excellent achievement which acknowledges all the hard work and effort you have put into your studies during the year.
Indeed, your success is even more notable when we reflect on what you have achieved in the midst of a global pandemic and on the strength of your determination dedication, and commitment to your studies. Our virtual event is very much about celebration, it is about ‘rewarding, ‘recognising’ and your achievements.
We were delighted to be joined by our industry partners who support and equip our students with the skills needed to succeed in their employability journey, enabling them to be able to take on the challenge of building and leading a sustainable future for the industry.”
