The Department of Marketing, Entrepreneurship and Strategy is highly successful and student-focused with over 1000 undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD students. 

It is at the forefront of innovative thinking in Marketing, Entrepreneurship and Strategy with global reach and extensive regional engagement.

The Department's courses and modules are creative, challenging and highly regarded with undergraduate degrees in Marketing and Business Studies, and postgraduate degrees in Marketing and Business Development & Innovation.


A distinctive strength of the Department is innovation in the private and public sectors - combined with a focus on employment opportunities for our students.

The Department is a leader in student placement opportunities – both international and regional, employer engagement in project work and Knowledge Transfer Partnerships for Ulster University graduates.


Research teams within the Department have attracted substantial European, Research Council and Innovate UK funding.

Research-informed teaching teams are engaged in national and international collaboration across a number of areas including: brands and branding, innovation, entrepreneurship, technology, retailing, global marketing, social media, knowledge management, social networking, culture and business development.


The Department has well developed academic links to global institutions including Babson College in Boston and Harvard Business School.
