About the Department of Global Business and Enterprise

About the Department of Global Business and Enterprise at Ulster University.

Today’s business world is global and ever-changing, characterised by intense competition and instant communication. Managers have become globally mobile as domestic markets open up for foreign investments.  Innovative communications such as social networks are having profound implications for businesses seeking opportunities in global markets.

At the Department of Global Business and Enterprise we provide courses which recognise these challenges and opportunities. We prepare our graduates to make an impact on the business sector at regional, national and international levels. Our courses are contemporary and imbued with an integrated global business element.  We have a strong internationally recognised research team and our business collaborations constantly enrich and inform our teaching, delivering on educational innovation, and reflecting good domestic and global business practice.

At the Department of Global Business and Enterprise we are committed to providing our students with exposure to global trends and to developing the managers for the global age.

We will equip you with the instincts of an entrepreneur, a vision that transcends borders, and a desire to challenge the status quo.

The Department of Global Business and Enterprise is based at our Magee campus and is one of four departments within the Ulster University Business School.

Our aim is to deliver nationally and internationally relevant business research which both informs and enhances our teaching and is reflected throughout our wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Our courses provide students with a quality educational experience, with a focus on ‘applied learning’. We produce highly employable graduates who demonstrate business and entrepreneurial acumen, innovation, global citizenship, professionalism and academic strengths. Students have the opportunity to develop and apply their skills and make a meaningful contribution to the socio-economic fabric here in Northern Ireland and beyond.
