Fast-track your future in dispute resolution with Ulster University’s two-week Mediation Summer School.
Delivered by Ulster University’s Law School in partnership with Hunt ADR, this intensive summer school offers a unique opportunity to gain both academic credit and a professionally recognised qualification in mediation—all in just two weeks.
Running from Monday 16 June, the course is block taught on weekdays from 9am to 5pm, combining theory with practical, hands-on experience. Students will explore the nature of conflict, understand the mediation process, and develop essential skills through structured role-play and real-world case scenarios.
The programme comprises two University-assessed modules (60 credits in total) and includes Mediator Skills Training accredited by the Civil Mediation Council (CMC)—a key step toward becoming a qualified civil and commercial mediator in the UK.
On successful completion, and subject to criteria agreed with Hunt ADR, students may apply for the CMC-recognised professional mediator qualification through assessed practice, daily evaluations, and a final oral exam.
This summer school is ideal for law students, legal professionals, and anyone seeking to build specialist expertise in the field of alternative dispute resolution.
Secure your place now and make summer count—gain skills, credits, and a route to professional accreditation.
