School of Computing video and webinar resources
Staff and students form the School of Computing have pulled together a compilation of short videos and recorded webinars to give you an insight into all of our undergraduate courses, facilities and research centres.
The School's undergraduate programmes include:

ULSTER UNIVERSITY SCHOOLS OUTREACH ACADEMY
Ulster University’s educational outreach is designed to raise aspirations, widen participation and increase attainment across primary and post primary sectors in preparation for engagement in higher-level learning.
Our Schools Outreach team has changed, in replacement of visiting schools or having campus visits to experience student culture and fantastic resources, we can now be accessed online.
The team is now offering free online courses via Open Education by Blackboard. An open source platform with no additional cost or technology requirements other than a web browser to the user.
These online courses will help pupils, understand the different disciplines they could eventually study at Ulster University, it also gives pupils the opportunity to engage with subjects remotely from their homes and with their families.

Courses consists of short lessons which involve interactive activities. All courses are 24/7 and self-paced, pupils will receive an Ulster University Certificate for completion of a short MCQ test at the end of their learning.

- Embracing Talent (Key Stage 4/5 GCSE, BTEC A Level)
Designed to help young people aged 16-18 to develop an understanding of and learn how to develop the 'key skills' essential for the workplace.
- Science behind Bath Bombs (Key Stage 2/3 Science)
30-Minute Challenge giving pupils the opportunity to look at Chemistry, through interactive lessons.
- Programming the Mirco:Bit using sensors (Key Stage 5 Science, ICT, Technology)
Learn to code the Micro:Bit and Bit:Bot robot using sensors such as a buzzer and sonar sensor. (Plus, a supply of Micro:Bits and a Bit:Bot robot for your class posted to school)

A short interactive course looking at the effects of sugar on our bodies.
- Music, Sound & Technology (Key Stage 4/5 GCSE, BTEC A Level Music, ICT)
Explore how sound can be created and manipulated to create contemporary, audio-driven, user experiences through the combination of digital composition & technology.
