Department of Health funded courses
The Department of Health in Northern Ireland provides funding for NI and EU students on a number of our courses.
- Adult Nursing
- Mental Health Nursing
Tuition fees for Home/EU students will be met by the Department of Health (unless the student holds a current nursing qualification). In addition a non-means tested bursary is available. The Department of Health keeps the bursary under review. The bursary is intended to assist with daily living costs incurred while on training and is awarded for each year of the three-year course. It is normally paid in monthly instalments. Students who commenced in 2015/16 have received £5,165 per year. Find out more.
PLEASE NOTE: Nursing students are not eligible for additional support from Student Finance NI.
