Kate believes the new and enhanced Ulster University campus will greatly complement other regeneration projects currently happening across Belfast, all of which aim to reinvigorate the city, to encourage people to stay in the city, and even to live within the city centre.
Kate knows it is vital that our young people see a future in Northern Ireland and that talent remains here, continuing to develop our society and drive it forward. She recognises that the Belfast campus will be a key driver for encouraging this.
In addition to her role as Lord Mayor, Kate is studying a part-time Masters degree in Digital Communications, Marketing and Leadership at the Ulster University Business School. She encourages Ulster University alumni to continue to be proud of their alma mater and celebrate what they have accomplished there.
