Ulster Way in May for Mind Your Mood

A huge well done and thank you to Barclays’ Procurement team in Belfast who have raised an incredible £5983.03 for Mind your Mood at Ulster University.

The team of 16 decided to take on the challenge of virtually walking the Ulster Way throughout the month of May. The Ulster Way is 1,000kms in total – quite a distance – however the team not only achieved that but smashed the target, by walking a total of 2,000kms.

Managing Director Jonathan Spence is a graduate and supporter of Ulster University and had attended a Mind Your Mood event before lockdown and was aware of the programme.

Mental well-being has been a big focus during the pandemic. I feel so sorry for young people, especially those feeling isolated. It’s a difficult enough age when they are trying to find their place in the world without having to deal with a pandemic alongside their studies.

Caroline Armstrong, Deputy Director (Fundraising), at Ulster University said:

We are so grateful to the Procurement team at Barclays for this incredible fundraising effort. It has been a really difficult year for fundraising activities and this will be such a huge help to continue Mind your Mood support for the next academic year.

Thank you to the Barclays' Procurement team in Belfast and their generous supporters.
