Ulster University invites members of the Institute of Guidance Counsellors (IGC) to our Discovery Event at our Derry Campus.
The 2025 Discovery Event will be Ulster University's second exclusive event for Guidance Counsellors, following our inaugural event in Belfast which took place in May 2024.
The two day experience will allow you to fully immerse yourself in what the city has to offer your students who are considering (or are yet to!) Derry and Ulster University for college study.
With complimentary accommodation offered the evening before the event, the Discovery Event will allow you to absorb the vibrant city and social experience Derry prides itself in.
On campus, we will showcase our various study opportunities, state of the art facilities as well as reveal our ambitious plans for campus expansion over the next decade.

The Discovery Event continues at our Derry Campus, with a comprehensive day planned to help familiarise you with our myriad of study opportunities and state-of-the art facilities.
You will meet our dedicated academics who will showcase their subject areas and answer your questions. You will also hear from our inspirational students who have joined Ulster University from all over Ireland.
Receive dedicated support sessions for guidance counsellors around our admissions processes, candidate selection and entry requirements.

City of Derry Jazz Festival
Ireland's biggest and best jazz festival
1 - 5 May 2025
While you're in the city, the City of Derry Jazz Festival will be in full swing with live music in every bar, restaurant, hotel, as well as street performances taking place around the city. The 24th edition is set to welcome tens of thousands of people, from all over the world to come together to celebrate and enjoy the live music over this May Bank Holiday weekend.

Ulster University is offering complimentary overnight accommodation* at one of our accommodation partners, on Thursday 1 May for attending guidance counsellors. Your stay includes a complimentary three-course evening meal on Thursday, followed by breakfast on Friday.
