The Future of Leadership

Attendees will hear from a panel of high-calibre speakers including former GB Olympic athlete, James McIlroy, Peter Russell, Managing Director of PR Business Growth Services and Jenna McCorkell, former Olympian competitive figure skater who will be interviewed by journalist Mark Simpson.

These three exceptional leaders will share their expertise on leadership and success, discuss their current leadership roles, and the impact of the future of leadership in their industry and the challenges they may face.

Speakers

James McIlroy, former GB Athlete and Race Director of the Clearer Water Antrim Coast Half Marathon

James is a former professional as a middle distance runner representing Great Britain and Northern Ireland for 13 years and still holds the records the fastest Irisman over 800m & 1000m.

Retiring in 2010, James then returned to sport in a commercial capacity, working as a Senior Sales Manager with Adidas Group Limited for 8 years. In 2020 he set up the Clearer Water Antrim Coast Half Marathon which is 1 of 3 events in the UK with World Athletics Elite Label status along with Cardiff Half Marathon and London Marathon.

James will share his  extensive experience of working in a high performance leadership roles and the challenges he faced in this industry.

Jenna McCorkell, Owner and Founder of Chique Sport Limited

Jenna is an 11 times British Champion and 2 times Olympian competitive figure skater for Great Britain. During her time as a competitive figure skater, she discovered a real gap in the market for training wear designed specifically for figure skaters.

Jenna launched Chique Sport at the 2017 World Championships in Helsinki, and it has since become the biggest figure skating brand worldwide, shipping to over 50 companies.

At this event Jenna will share her leadership traits which have enabled her to grow a hugely successful business.

Peter Russell,  Managing Director of PR Business Growth Services

Peter started his career with Danske Bank and has since held senior leadership positions with Global companies including Telefonica Tech, Microsoft and BT. He also worked as Sales and Marketing Director, for local Tech company Neueda, which was acquired by Version 1 in March 2021.

Peter will drawing on his extensive experience in business and will share his approach to leadership and leading teams in global companies.
