We invite contributions to a collaborative conference on the theme of Sustainable Futures, Good Health and Wellbeing. Relevant topics include:
- Thinking beyond GDP, e.g. the wellbeing economy and sustainable development
- Promising approaches to inclusive and sustainable research methodology, e.g. novel codesign and collaborative approaches, arts-based methods, embedding peripheral voices
- Systems thinking and policy coherence in support of societal flourishing
- Wellbeing and the workplace/ Health and wellbeing priorities in 2025 and beyond
- Interdisciplinary horizons (e.g. a novel disciplinary perspective that could potentially enrich other disciplinary analyses, learning from previous/ongoing interdisciplinary research)
- Wellbeing and the curriculum
- Northern Ireland case studies or international comparisons.
Keynote Speakers
- Dr Jenny Mack, The Institute of Public Health, A Wellbeing Economy for better public health
- Dr Shqiperim Reka, Sheffield Hallam University, From Refugee to PhD
Contributions
Contributions may take the form of short presentations, posters or other creative forms relevant to the conference theme. We encourage a wide range of contributions from academic staff, professional services colleagues, Ulster University students and PhD researchers. Proposals should be submitted in written form of 500 words, incl. references, indicating the type of contribution.
Deadline: 31st March 2025
Participation is free, and refreshments are provided.
