This two-day course is designed for anyone with little or no experience of SPSS, or for those who want a simple refresher in basic data analysis. It’s especially useful if you have data but aren’t quite sure how to analyse it or get the most from it. The course focuses on helping you use data to make informed, evidence-based decisions, showing how to answer research questions using the right techniques. You’ll be introduced to SPSS, including how to enter data and import it from programmes like Excel. We’ll cover the essentials of statistics in a straightforward way, including hypothesis testing, choosing the right analysis, and understanding tables and graphs. The sessions mix short explanations with plenty of hands-on practice, so you can learn by doing. There will also be time to talk about your own research and ask questions about proposed analysis generally.
Only 20 places - Closing date for signing up 10 June 2026 at 12 noon.
Chris McLaughlin (MLM) will be delivering the course for the two days
