Ulster University graduate, Clive Watt from Augher, has graduated with a first class honours in mechanical engineering after developing a pioneering system that dramatically improves the chicken feeding process.

Clive developed the system as part of his final year engineering project after identifying the need to improve the feeding of day old chicks at his family farm, which was carried out manually. He developed a prototype that attaches to a quad and automatically dispenses chicken feed onto a feeding panel, which reduces the time required for feeding and feed wastage.
