Why Payroll Giving?
Payroll Giving allows you to invest in the causes that matter most to you, effortlessly. Better still, donations are TAX-FREE, meaning you can give more for less.
How it works
- A donation of your choosing is deducted from your pay on a monthly basis
- Because donations are taken from your gross pay before tax, you receive immediate tax relief at the highest rate
- You are in complete control and can alter or cancel your donations at any time by contacting the Payroll Department
Making your gift go further
Donating through Payroll Giving means that your chosen area will receive more money than it actually costs you from your salary. The table below shows how you can make your gift go further by choosing a higher pledge amount.
| Your Pledge | As 20% tax payer - you pay | As 40% tax payer - you pay | Your chosen area receives |
|---|---|---|---|
| £5 | £4 | £3 | £5 |
| £10 | £8 | £6 | £10 |
| £20 | £16 | £12 | £20 |
| £50 | £40 | £30 | £50 |
| £70 | £56 | £42 | £70 |
| £100 | £80 | £60 | £100 |
