Our Vision

Our Vision

Our vision is to inspire and equip the next generation of doctors so that they can have a significant impact on healthcare and our economy and to encourage capable students from all walks of life to study medicine at Ulster University’s School of Medicine, opening new doors for them and their families and at the same time diversifying and strengthening our medical workforce.

You can help to address the medical workforce shortages across Northern Ireland and border areas of the Republic of Ireland, which has only been exacerbated by the COVID-19 crisis.

To make this possible, we are working to establish a strong financial assistance programme which will ensure that highly capable students can fulfil their dreams and become the much-needed medical practitioners of the future.

“As someone who was born in Derry and grew up in Donegal, it is so special for me to be studying medicine at Ulster University’s Magee campus.

I feel so privileged to have been selected for this scholarship and am humbled by and grateful for this incredible kindness and generosity.

It offers me the opportunity to fulfil my dream of becoming a doctor without having to overcome financial barriers.”
