TJI Gender Research Stream is organising a workshop on “Designing Gender Research: Methods and Challenges” which will take place on Wednesday 22 February 2017at Ulster University, Belfast Campus.

In the first round, all postgraduate research students and early career academics from any discipline working on gender were invited to submit an abstract (250-500 words) by 12 December 2016. This abstract should include the following:
(2) Statement of Problem (SOP)
(3) Research question (key question(s))
(4) Research method(s)
After the initial round of abstract review, all accepted authors were invited to submit a short paper (1500-2000 words) elaborating research methods and challenges (current and/or potential) by 30 January 2017
Short Papers Competition
All short papers submitted to the workshop are considered for the “TJI Best Paper Award” which will be given to the three best submissions.
Panel of Experts
This is a unique opportunity for postgraduate and early career researchers to present their research design to a panel of renowned experts in the field of gender and receive feedback. They will engage in interdisciplinary discussions with experts and peers on methods and challenges associated with carrying out research on gender. Our panel of experts includes:
