This dynamic module empowers future leaders to grow through real-world, work-based learning. You’ll strengthen your professional leadership skills while earning 15 accredited credits — which can also count towards Ulster University’s Postgraduate Certificate in Professional Development.
Rooted in Ulster’s BRAVE Framework — Bold, Resilient, Authentic, Versatile and Empowering — the programme helps you develop the confidence and capability to lead with impact.
This DfE-funded initiative, supported by the Skills Fund, aligns with the Minister’s Economic Vision.

Course Content
Engage in dynamic workshops, gain expert insights, cultivate vital skills for a thriving STEM & Arts career and embark on a transformative journey towards excellence.
The course is delivered over eight weeks, from 30 January to 20 March 2026
Blended delivery comprising:
- In-person workshops (half-day, morning sessions) at the Belfast Campus:
- Week 1: 30 January 2026
- Week 4: 20 February 2026
- Week 8: 20 March 2026
- Online sessions (60 minutes each, Fridays at 12:30p.m):
- Week 2: 6 February 2026
- Week 3: 13 February 2026
- Week 5: Group coaching sessions – details to be confirmed
- Week 6: 6 March 2026
- Week 7: 14 March 2026
A mentoring approach will be encouraged, and group coaching will be provided.
This module is worth 15 credits at level 7, part of the PG Cert in Professional Development qualification
Assessment will be by way of a Group Presentation and an Individual Reflection and the completion and submission of a Leadership Growth Journal.
Places are limited and open to applicants who:
- Are a graduate.
- Have a right to work and undertake training in the UK at the point of application and for the duration of the course and must not be disqualified from doing either by reason of their immigration status. Proof of this will be required to progress application.
- Will be available to register in person at provider campus as required
- Satisfy Ulster's minimum entry requirements including competency in English (as evidenced by GCSE Grade C in English or alternative); and course specific entry requirements. For English competency, a degree taught in UK or Ireland covers this requirement. If your degree is from outside the UK or Ireland, please see the list of acceptable qualifications or tests

Applications cannot be considered once a course has started.
You may study one full learning programme or up to two micro-credentials (maximum 45 credits per semester) in one academic year.

- Passport
- Evidence of right to work and train in the UK*
- Degree certificate
- English competency (not required if your degree is from UK/ROI)
* Holders of UK or Irish passports automatically have this right. if you hold a passport from another nation, please provide evidence of UK immigration permissions to include a ShareCode and/or BRP.
