As part of the GCRF Safewater project, Dr Bill Snelling is working with Fundacion Cántaro Azul in Mexico for 3 weeks, increasing their microbiology skills & capacity. Then Bill will join and update the Safewater Training Workshop at the USP - Universidade de São Paulo.
The School of Biomedical Sciences held a symposium and dinner to celebrate its 25th anniversary on Thursday 15th August. The event was attended by past and present members of academic, technical and clerical staff and was a celebration of the many achievements and successes of the School in teaching and research.
To mark European Obesity Day last Saturday, the Obesity Research Group from NICHE organised a step-count challenge. Biomed staff and students tracked their steps count for 24h and gathered 873,559 steps with an amazing average of 11.6k /stepper!!!Well done everyone!
