We are delighted to announce that the NIHRC prize for the best masters dissertation submitted to TJI has been awarded to Fiona MacGregor. Fiona’s dissertation "Whose Rape is it Anyway?", which explored UN responses to opportunistic sexual violence in protracted refugee settings, was described by its examiners as a brilliant mature piece of work, demonstrating critical insight and a sophisticated approach to methodology.
Fiona has graduated from the LLM in Gender, Conflict and Human Rights and is now doing a PhD in Durham University. Congratulations to Fiona on this achievement!
