Overview

The Enhance pillar strengthens the University’s own infrastructure, operations and cultures, ensuring that sustainability is built into everyday practice.

This includes adopting low-impact behaviours, embedding responsible stewardship across the University’s campuses in Belfast, Coleraine and Derry~Londonderry and at the Ulster University Sports Village (Jordanstown) and developing policies and systems that support resilience and social responsibility.

Leading by example, Ulster University demonstrates its commitment to social and environmental integrity and provides a living laboratory for sustainable practice.

Our Approach

We advance campus sustainability through responsible stewardship, embedding sustainability into decision- making and reducing our environmental impact across operations, resources and campus environments.

By 2033, our campuses will be climate-resilient, environmentally responsible and future-ready, with sustainable operations, thriving biodiversity and transparent performance supporting progress towards net zero.
