Legacy RefWorks: Service Ends June 2023

Legacy RefWorks is being retired this year and will not be available after 30th June 2023. If you are not already using new RefWorks, please upgrade to the new RefWorks platform before this date.

  • In Legacy RefWorks click the 'Upgrade to the latest version of RefWorks' button which is at the top right of the screen.
  • Alternatively, create an account for New RefWorks and import your references from Legacy (your folder structure will be retained and PDFs etc. imported).

If you require any support or advise regarding this service change and migrating or saving your Legacy RefWorks references, please contact the Library's RefWorks Team.

Write-n-Cite: Formal Library Support Moves to RefWorks Citation Manager

Formal support for the RefWorks tool 'Write-n-Cite' will cease in favour of RefWorks Citation Manager (RCM) from the start of academic year 2023-2024.  Please use RCM rather than Write-Cite when preparing bibliographies in Microsoft Word. RCM is available as an 'Office Add-in' to all staff and students using MS Word via Office365.

Write-n-Cite will no longer be available on student desktops within Digital Services managed Student IT Laboratories (SITL), including computers within the Library.

For more information about RefWorks, please consult the Library RefWorks guide.
