Required subjects for entry to undergraduate programmes
English
English is required for entry to all undergraduate programmes
We accept Leaving Cert English with a minimum grade of H6 or O4.
For QQI applicants who do not have Leaving Cert English, we accept a Pass in the unit Communications 5N0690
For applicants who do not have either, there are several equivalency English Language tests we accept. This must be achieved before enrolment in September.
Math
Math is required for some programmes at Ulster University.
We accept Leaving Cert Math with a minimum grade of H6 or O4.
For QQI applicants who do not have Leaving Cert Math, we accept a Pass in the unit Math 5N1833.
Where programmes require a Grade B in GCSE Math, we require a Merit from this unit.
For applicants who do not have either, there are several equivalency Math tests we accept. This must be achieved before enrolment in September.
Irish
There is no requirement for Irish for any programme except for our Irish Language programmes.
Third Language
There is no requirement for a Third Language for any programme at Ulster University.
