Senior Lecturer in Sustainable Tourism and Hospitality
Dr Susann Power is a Senior Lecturer in Sustainable Tourism and Hospitality at the Department of Hospitality, Tourism and Event Management at Ulster University. She is the Chair of the UUBS Sustainability Committee and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Susann holds a PhD in Tourism from the University of Surrey, and MSc in Tourism, Environment and Development from King’s College London. Before joining the department, Susann held the following academic posts: Lecturer in Business Ethics at the University of Surrey, and Teaching Fellow in Marketing at Ulster University Business School, where she was also appointed to Course Director for the MSc Marketing programme.
Susann’s industry experience includes positions as Policy Manager at the World Travel & Tourism Council and Operations Manager at Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful. From 2019 to 2024, Susann served on the Board of Directors for environmental charity Sustainable NI.
