About the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management
About the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Ulster University.
The Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management is based at our Belfast and Coleraine campuses. We offer a range of specialist programmes of study at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, on a full time and part time basis.
Programmes delivered on the Coleraine campus are within the specialisms of international travel, tourism, leisure and events management. We also deliver the BSc Hons Consumer Management and Food Innovation which focuses on the design, development, management and marketing of consumer products and services.
On the Belfast campus, specialist programmes centre on international hospitality and culinary arts management.
The award winning Academy Restaurant in Belfast provides the interface between industry, the general public and the Department. It reflects, through the professionalism of the students, the high quality of education and training which the Department provides. Find out more about The Academy Restaurant at Ulster University.
Each programme of study incorporates key management modules alongside the specialist modules, therefore providing the breadth of knowledge and skills required by the fast paced and exciting hospitality, tourism and events industry.
All courses are accredited by the Institute of Hospitality. The Institute of Hospitality is the professional body for managers and aspiring managers working and studying in the hospitality, leisure and tourism industry. Accreditation entitles you on graduation to apply to the Institute for associate membership. Graduates with appropriate management experience may be eligible for member (MIH) grade.
