Facilities

The bioimaging facility is equipped with £4million state-of-the-art instrumentation and sample preparation equipment and provides a unique opportunity for access to imaging modalities rarely found within a single laboratory.

This includes all major variations of light and electron microscopy, including confocal and super resolution microscopy as well as Cryo-Scanning (including environmental and low vacuum) and scanning transmission electron microscopy. Our electron microscope is equipped with EDS detector enabling elemental analysis.
