Marking Time: ArtsEkta at 20
The panel discussion accompanies Marking Time: ArtsEkta at 20, a travelling exhibition celebrating two decades of intercultural arts, cultural participation and community connection across Northern Ireland.
Created as part of ArtsEkta’s 20th anniversary programme, the exhibition reflects on the organisation’s journey from its beginnings in the years following the Good Friday Agreement to its role today in creating more inclusive cultural spaces.
Through archive photography, project imagery, reflective text and the voices of artists, participants and audiences, the exhibition explores how creativity can foster belonging, bring communities together and create opportunities for people from different backgrounds to connect.

The exhibition is free to visit and will be displayed on the ground floor of the BC Building at Ulster University’s Belfast campus.
Dates: Monday 10 to Sunday 23 August 2026
