    About

Effective leadership starts with self-awareness. To be an impactful leader, it’s essential to understand not just your own behaviours, but also how you interact with your team and the broader organisational culture. This module is designed to help you become a more self-reflective, empathetic, and politically astute leader, capable of navigating the complexities of today’s workplace.

    Why This Matters for You

In today’s fast-paced business environment, leadership isn’t just about making decisions; it’s about understanding the underlying dynamics that drive behaviour within your team and across your organisation. This module will equip you with the tools to:

    • Reflect on your own leadership style and recognise the emotional triggers that influence your decisions.
    • Develop a deeper empathy for your team members, improving communication and fostering collaboration.
    • Gain insights into how workplace norms, routines, and conflicts emerge, and how these factors impact your organisation’s culture.

    What You’ll Gain

    • A holistic understanding of leadership: You’ll critically examine different perspectives on leadership, communication, and organisational culture to enhance your approach to management.
    • Improved self-awareness and emotional intelligence: Learn how to recognise and manage the emotions—both yours and others’—that drive behaviour in the workplace.
    • Stronger collaboration across hierarchies: With a deeper understanding of group dynamics and organisational systems, you’ll be better equipped to lead and work across all levels of the organisation, from frontline teams to senior leadership.
    • A refined understanding of power dynamics: Learn to identify patterns of inclusion and exclusion, and develop strategies to address power imbalances that affect team cohesion and organisational effectiveness.

Why It’s Critical for Your Career

Leadership in today’s complex business environment is about collaboration, emotional intelligence, and adaptability. The skills you’ll develop in this module will empower you to lead more effectively, adapt to changing circumstances, and build stronger, more resilient teams.
